Ciprofloxacin for urinary tract infection how many days

Ciprofloxacin Normon film-coated tablets are indicated for the treatment of the following infections (see sections 4.4 and 5.1). Before starting treatment, special attention should be paid to available information on ciprofloxacin resistance. Official recommendations on the appropriate use of antibacterial agents should be taken into account.
Treatment of infections caused by some bacteria (e.g. Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter or Staphylococcus) may require higher doses of ciprofloxacin and concomitant administration of other appropriate antibacterial agents.
Treatment of some infections (e.g. pelvic inflammatory disease, intra-abdominal infections, infections in patients with neutropenia and skin and soft tissue infections) may require concomitant administration of other appropriate antibacterial agents, depending on the pathogens involved.
Tablets should be swallowed whole without chewing and with liquid. They can be taken independently of meals. If taken on an empty stomach, the active ingredient is absorbed more rapidly. Ciprofloxacin tablets should not be taken with dairy products (e.g. milk or yoghurt) or mineral-enriched fruit juice (e.g. calcium-enriched orange juice). (See section 4.5).

Ciprofloxacin dosage

If you miss a dose of ciprofloxacin tablets or suspension by less than 6 hours, take the missed dose as soon as you remember it and then take the next dose at the scheduled time. However, if you miss a dose of ciprofloxacin tablets or suspension by more than 6 hours, skip the missed dose and continue taking your regular doses. If you miss a dose of the extended-release tablet, take the dose as soon as you remember it. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed dose. Do not take more than two doses of the tablets or suspension or more than one dose of the extended-release tablets in one day.What side effects may I notice from this medicine?

Ciprofloxacin 500 mg

If you have a serious infection or if the infection is caused by more than one type of bacteria, you may be given additional antibiotic treatment in addition to Ciprofloxacin Alter.
You should not take antibacterial medicines containing fluoroquinolones or quinolones, including Ciprofloxacin Alter, if you have experienced any serious adverse reaction before when taking a quinolone or a fluoroquinolone. If this is the case, you should inform your doctor as soon as possible.
For the treatment of some genital tract infections, your doctor may prescribe another antibiotic in addition to ciprofloxacin. If there is no improvement of symptoms after 3 days of treatment, please consult your physician.
The following drugs are known to interact in your body with this medicine. If this medicine is taken at the same time as these medicines, this may influence the therapeutic effect of these medicines. It may also increase the likelihood of adverse effects.
